08/24/04Brandon Bracey's Word Of Devotion For 8/24/04: The Tight Rope Walker. #

Brandon Bracey

Devotion Title: The Tight Rope Walker
Scripture, Amplified Bible Phillipians 4:12, " I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want.

If you ever seen a tight rope walker at the circus? When these people walk the tight rope they are so steady, balanced, and focused. You can also tell that they have been training to do this for a while now! It reminds me of the Mountain Top Experiences and the Valley Experiences In Our Lives.

Having a Mountain Top Experience in your life can be such a great joy! When I talk about Mountain Top Experiences I am talking about getting a new car, or getting that promotion, or seeing your son or daughter graduate from College! These are some of the most wonderful experiences. But yet even these experiences do not last forever. The Mountain Top is a place where we often long to stay forever, but more often than not you will also have valley experiences.

A Valley Experience is when you are in a season in your life where everything seems dry or depressing. You car breaks down, or you lose your job, or your son becomes a couch potato and decides he does not want to go to College. It is during these times where many people ask," Lord why have you forsaken me?"

But I have been learning some valuable lessons in my spiritual walk. One of those lessons is " Be Cautious On The Mountain". I am here to let you know that you will not always be on top of the mountain. I will say it in bold again: You will not always be on top of the mountain. I want to tell you that there will be some days in your life where you may just wished they had never come. But the secret to overcoming these types of days is contentment.

Paul had a wonderful contentment about him that I love. Paul went through so much which included beatings and a shipwreck. But in spite of this he knew how to be content in every situation. I say to myself, " How in the world can Paul be content with his life when there was so much going on?" Then I found out that the secret to Paul's contentment was that he kept his eyes focused on the Lord." He put Christ first in all things and he knew that's Christ's sufficiency was sufficient enough for him.

WOW! Now here I am complaining about this and that, even though it says right in Phillipians 4:19 that Christ will supply all my needs according to his riches in glory". This shows us that whenever we have the valley times I do not have to get stuck in the rut of depression. Yes, we are human and we do hurt and get discouraged at times, but we do not have to stay that way. The enemy would love for us to do that but when Jesus died 2,000 years ago on that cross for me Satan was defeated and so was his authority! So just when it seems like I am lacking, God is right there to lift me right back up!

So remember to be cautious on the mountain. I would not want you to fall off the top when the rocks start breaking up. But instead see yourself as a tightrope walker who is balanced, steady, and focused in life. Balanced in that you never get too high or too low, steady in that you are unmovable, and focused solely on the Lord! Also remember that the more you train by spending time with the Lord the better you will be able to perform. Amen!

Heavenly Father,
In the name of Jesus I thank you that I know that in my life it is important to stay balanced, steady, and focused. Father thank you for always being there on The Mountain Top and in the Valley. Your love is always with me, therefore my eyes are stayed on you always. Amen.

You may have read this and would like to accept Jesus into your heart. Please pray with me:
Lord Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart. I need you now Lord. There is nothing this world can offer me. Please forgive me for all my wrongdoing and I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me. Amen. If you have just prayed this prayer congratulations! Welcome to the family! You are born -again( 2 Corinthians 5:17), blood washed, and set free! You now have a new beginning! Please email me at: Brandon_Bracey00@yahoo.com so I can assist you in your new beginning!

08/24/04Book Recommendation: How Faith Works By Frederick K.C. Price. #

Brandon Bracey

Hi Ministry Family,
I have always said that the first thing a believer should learn
about after salvation is faith. For every beleiver the understanding
of faith is vitally important to living a successful Christian life.
Hebrews 11:6 says that without faith it is impossible to please God.
In Mark 5:34 Jesus told the woman who was healed from the issue of
blood that her faith had made her whole. Faith plays a key role in
receiving from God and when you fully understand the principles of
faith, the easier it will be for you to overcome any adversity and
walk in victory!

Dr. Fred Price has been teaching on Faith for over 25 years. his
book has been revised and expanded over the years to include more and
more teaching on faith. This book is a must have! In this book you
will learn:
* The difference between faith and unbelief
* How faith and confession work together
* How to act on the Word of God
* How to keep your faiht from being undermined
* Plus so much more!

Start learning how faith works today and watch the power of God
change your life. Also you go visit Dr. Price's website at : www.faithdome.org. Have a great
day!

Blessings,
Brandon

08/23/04Brandon Bracey's Word Of Devotion For 8/24/04: Overcoming The Sign Of The Kiss. #

Brandon Bracey

Devotion Title: Overcoming The Sign Of The Kiss
Scripture Amplified Bible: Matthew 26:48, " Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, The One I shall kiss is the Man; seize him"

Sally is now twenty six years old. She has been through so much in her life. Sally grew up in a broken home. Her father left home six months after she was born and her mother struggled to raise her. Sally's mother was depressed for many years until she met her new husband. After a while, Sally's mom's new husband became abusive toward her mom and then the unthinkable happened. At the age of five, Sally was sexually abused by her Stepfather. It all started when he came into her room and kissed her on the cheek. Sally was sexually abused from the age of 5 until the age of 7 when her stepfather was arrested. But the damage had been done. Now at the age of twenty six Sally still deals with wounds that have not healed from her childhood. The thoughts of being raped by her stepfather still haunt her at night. She is afraid to sleep with the lights off so she she keeps the lamp on. She went to see a counselor , but then went home crying when the counselor told her she must have done something to receive this abuse. This is one of the sad and unfortunate stories that is going on with women around the world. And in all this that happened the culmination was the sign of the kiss in Sally's room.

A kiss can be one of the most sensual things we ever get. A kiss can cause you to receive feelings that you never thought you could receive. A kiss can express an intimate bond that you have with another person. But a kiss can also be very seductive. And in this case, a kiss can also mean betrayal.

Judas was very close to Jesus and was one of the twelve disciples. He earned so much trust that he became the treasure. However, it was with a kiss that was the sign of the betrayal of Jesus. It was the kiss that Judas gave Jesus that gave him away. Judas was one of Jesus's disciples, which meant he walked with Jesus and was close to him. But in the end Jesus was stabbed in the back.

Just like Judas stabbed Jesus in the back, many women reading this have been stabbed in the back. Just like Sally you have gone through some pain. You may have been sexually, physically, or mentally abused by someone close to you. It may have been your husband, boyfriend, neighbor, or someone else, but you still have some wounds that have not healed. But I want to let you know that Jesus can heal you. The Bible says in 1 Peter 2: 24, " by his wounds you have been healed." You must understand that your past does not determine your future or your destiny. You may have been hurt, but Jesus has come to fully heal you! You do not have to live with the pain anymore! Love is not abusive. But God's love is perfect. The Bible says in Romans 8:38-39, " I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Nothing can separate you from the love of God! If you read this and are going through this and need someone to talk too, email me at: Brandon_Bracey00@yahoo.com. God loves you and so do I. You are an overcomer and you will win in the end!

Scripture Reference: Matthew 26:2-Matthew 27:5

Dear Heavenly Father,
All the hurt and pain I experienced in the past still haunts me, but right now I am claim I am healed in Jesus name. I know your word says in 1 Peter 2:24 that by your stripes I am healed. Therefore I believe it and receive it by faith right now in Jesus name. Holy Spirit please help me as I take off the robes of fear, hurt, and depression and put on the garment of praise and joy. I love you Lord! Thank you Lord for setting me free in Jesus name Amen!

If you have read this devotion and would like to accept Jesus into your life as Lord and Savior please pray with me:
Heavenly Father thank you for sending your only begotten Son Jesus to die for me. Lord Jesus I need you now. This world has nothing for me. I am tired of being frustrated, hurt, scared, and not knowing where I will spend eternity. Jesus I ask you to come into my heart. Cleanse me from all wrongdoing. Jesus I make you the Lord and Savior of my life. Thank you Lord Jesus for a new beginning. In Jesus name I do pray Amen. If you have just prayed this prayer congratulations! You are born again and old things are passed away and you have a new beginning( 2 Corinthians 5:17)! Please email me at: Brandon_Bracey00@yahoo.com so I can assist you in your new beginning!

08/22/04Humor Message: Gladys Dunn! #

Brandon Bracey

There was this lady who was visiting a church one Sunday. The sermon seemed to
go on forever, and many in the congregation fell asleep.

After the service, to be social, she walked up to a very sleepy looking
gentleman, extended her hand in greeting, and said, "Hello, I'm Gladys Dunn."

And the gentleman replied, "You're not the only one ma'am, I'm glad it's done
too!!!"

08/22/04Brandon Bracey's Word Of Devotion: Out Of The Box! #

Brandon Bracey

Devotion Title: Out Of The Box!

Ephesians 5:23 New Living Translation, " For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of his body, the church; he gave his life to be her Savior."

Have you ever see seen a bird in a cage? When that cage is locked, the bird cannot get out. That bird becomes stuck in that cage. Whatever happens in that cage, the bird is exposed to it. Because the bird is stuck in that cage the bird is unable to fly. The bird cannot spread his wings. The bird cannot fly and therefore the bird is not free. However, when released from the cage, the bird can fly and soar.

Just like the bird stuck in a cage, a lot of Christians are stuck in a box. That box is called, " man- centered religion". Ah Oh!!! I am going to cause some trouble today because I feel like preaching! See this box called, " man- centered religion" is filled with hypocrites, and status- gathers, and spritual powerheads. It's filled with traditionalism and hero worship. It's filled with human led programs without divine intervention... it's filled with some stuff that makes me sick!

See I am so sick and tired of people who try to put God in a box! For some reason they think God is a jack- in- the - box that you pop out when you have a prayer request! Instead of worshiping God for who he is, they would rather claim that the pew seat on the second row is theirs. Instead of allowing people to come to church just like they are, they look at you funny when you do not have a suit on, even if you could not afford it! And oh Lord please do not start speaking in tongues!!! Lord please do not do that!! They may just call 911!!!

Brandon Bracey can't stand "religion". I am into relationship and Christianity, but "religion" makes me want to vomit! I have something to say to those "religous" folks. You may be the mother of the church, but you are not the head of the church! You can keep all of your silly arguments about how to do communion and which denomination is best because I do not want to hear it! There will be no Baptists in heaven! There will be no Lutherans in heaven! There will be no Penecostals in heaven! There will be no Presbyterians in heaven! There will be no Charismatics in heaven! There will be no Episcopals in heaven! There will be no Methodist in Heaven! There will be no Moravians, Nazarenes, or whatever in heaven!!!! What the Father is going to want to know in heaven is what was your relationship with the Son! So if you are stuck on denominationals you have a surprise coming! There are over 280+ denominations and they are fighting like a bunch of hound dogs over a doggy biscuit!

I have received the revelation into my spirit that Christ is the head of the church, not man. So I am keeping myself free! When Jesus died on that Cross over 2, 000 years ago we were set free! We are free from religious nuts! We are free from spiritual oppression! We are free from spiritual bondage! Christ has stepped out of the box and whom the son sets free is free indeed!!! C'mon and praise the Lord!

Lord,
Thank you for freedom! Lord Jesus you died on the cross 2, 000 years ago that I might be set free! Lord I am ready to spread my wings and fly! I refuse to get caught up in any religious mess! Lord I am free indeed in Jesus name Amen!

You may have read this and would like the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life. Please pray with me: Heavenly Father, I AM now ready to accept your son Jesus as Lord and Savior of my life. Jesus you paid the price for me at Calvary so I could be set free from the bondage of this world. Lord Jesus please come into my heart and I make you my Lord and Savior. Wash me clean from any wrongdoing of the past and give me a new beginning in Jesus name Amen. If you just prayed this prayer congratulations and welcome to the family of God! Your past has been erased, Jesus is your Lord and Savior, and you have a new beginning! Please email me at: Brandon_Bracey00@yahoo.com so I can assist you in your new beginning!
